2007 YOUTH BOARD MEMBERS MANIFESTOS AT
A GLANCE:
|
|
Pedro Golding, 12
My name is Pedro and I am running for South
Kilburn Youth Board to make South Kilburn a
better place with no shootings at all and no
stabbings.
I have been living in South Kilburn for 11 years
and I want to make South Kilburn a better
place so please vote for me! |
|
Mikel Edghill, 17
Hi my name is Mikel Edghill and I’m 17 years of age.
I’ve been living in South Kilburn for 5 years and I
think there should be much more stuff to do
because the estate can get really boring.
I want to be on the Board so I can make positive
changes to South Kilburn. People should vote for
me because I really want to do something to make
South Kilburn better than how it is. |
|
Devante Watson, 13
Hi, my name is Devante Watson and I
would like to be on the Youth Board
because I want to change everything
around South Kilburn and make this area a
better place to be and to grow up. I want
to tell people about my feelings about SK
and the rest of the world.
Thank you for listening. |
|
Susie Antubam, 15
Hey my name is Susie, I live in South Kilburn.
I was on the Youth Board before and so I have 2
years of experience including helping to create
the South Kilburn summer party which no other
youth board in the country has done.
I have learned that it’s hard for people to come
forward to ask for money for youth projects so I
make sure that the youth board comes to the
people of South Kilburn.

|
Hannah Ball, 15
If I was to be on the Youth Board I would do all
I could to help provide places for us youths to
jam. I believe we need more facilities to
improve the time we have at South Kilburn.
We may as well make changes while we can. I
can be the voice for the youth!

|
Antillia Canoville, 14
Hi, my name is Antillia and I live on the South
Kilburn Estate. I love listening to people’s points
of view and always repping my ideas. If I have
a view I always make sure it’s heard.
Let’s get down to business… I got nominated
by my friends from the OK Club to stand here
because I’m a good representative for people
and their views. I’ll help bring more music and
sports facilities to South Kilburn.
|
|
Dwight Okeke , 12
For those of you that still don’t know me I’m
Dwight.
For the past 2 years I’ve been on the Youth
Board giving grants to a variety of projects to
help the young people of South Kilburn. I’ve
been living here my whole life through the
good and bad times. Having me on the Youth
Board can make a real difference.
Make sure you vote. |
|
Faisal Dhondee, 20
Hey all, if you don’t know me I’m Faisal you may
know or have seen me around Kilburn Youth
Centre where I work.
First of all I would like to thank everyone who
voted for me last year and welcome all who
will vote this year. I am happy that I was able
to give out lots of funding to all the projects,
and was happy to help all the young people in
the area.
So to all you young people out there vote for
me to be a young voice!
|
|
Robert Doku , 23
Hello I’m Robert and you might remember me
standing from last year. There are a lot of
talented people in Kilburn; artists, musicians,
sportsmen/ women.
I want to represent these people on the Board
as I am an artist myself so if you want to see
more things to help you on the way I’ll try to
organise them.

Keisha Fredericks , 19
I’ve been on the Youth Board for the last two years,
and hope to do a third. If I am elected again I will
continue to try and make the lives of South Kilburn’s
youth better.
Life around south Kilburn now is very tense because
of the police raids we’ve just had. Being on the
youth board again I will try to ensure that there are
more activities for the young people to avoid
future tension with the police, by keeping everyone
busy.
