Guidelines for Grant Applications
South Kilburn Youth Board has a budget of £15,000 to spend on improving the lives of young people in the South Kilburn area.
Here are some guidelines if you are interested in applying for a grant.
- Applications must be filled by young people who are resident in South Kilburn
- All application must be supported by an existing organisation who can take receipt of the grant as funding cannot be given to individuals
- Group applications for projects must be organised and led by young people although sponsoring organisations (e.g. youth clubs) can help
- Your application must benefit young people in South Kilburn and you will have to show how it can make a difference to their lives
- You can apply for grants up to £3000
- Grants above this limit may be approved in exceptional circumstances
- However grants that cover other theme areas, for example the environment, will also be looked at.
- Grants will be given to new not existing projects
- All applicants will have to be interviewed by members of the Youth Board
- Funding is available for projects that the Youth Board feel reflects the vision of the NDC: ‘Creating a desirable place to live, learn and work’.
The Youth Board will be monitoring any grants awarded. They will expect all applicants to provide a budget as part of the application process and receipts when the project is completed. Grants will be considered every 2 months.
